I felt it brush my face in the chill morning breeze,
I heard it's whisper in the silent conversations,
I saw it in every strangers blank desperate face,
I walked in it down the road and faced it round every bend,
I awoke in utter oil blackness with it screaming,
Your sobs and retches pulled something demonic from deep,
I stumbled in a haze stinking of fear knowing in my ignorance,
You rushed past me brushing onto me your darkness,
I looked wildly around spotting your memory on the table,
I peeked gasping in a silent horror; beginning to pray,
You had gone in that run-away, one way car,

Letter to a chicken
Dear Mabel,
It's been over five years since you died, but I've never stopped missing you. Did you know that Mabel means "beautiful one" or "lovable"? I guess we already knew how wonderful you were going to be. After you passed, I finished raising your babies for you. You'd be proud of Annabell. Your sister Isadora is still here, just as crabby as ever and over eight years old. She has a few biological chicks running around now, I hope they'll be a tad nicer than her.
I wish I could have shared you with the rest of the world. You were never just a chicken. Maybe you were a dog trapped in that feathered body, or even a human. They way you loo
To,
A Perfectly Imperfect Human Being
I don't pretend to never have made a mistake, and neither should you, there are countless songs, paintings, and sculptures in this world, and yet none can truly be called perfect. True beauty is found in looking past imperfections.
I want to see the radiance in what you can do, and the humanity in what you can't. I want you to meet people, respect them, to clash with them, and most importantly love them. As a selfish person I want you to(just for me) endure a bit more than you thought you could handle, and enjoy life more than you ever thought possible.
Sincerely,

When I think of you
I'll send you a message
from within my heart
I'll send you a message
whispering it in the dark
I'll send you a message
every time we're apart
I'll send you a message
stating some truth
I'll send you a message
with a bit of proof
I'll send you a message
when I need you near
I'll send you a message
when I'm in fear
It'll read as follows;
Baby I love you
baby I'm here
Baby with you
I'm never in fear
And at the end I'll add;
I'm sorry
I can't do this
you make me feel stupid
I loved you, it's true
but I get sick now
when I think of you
Dear Henry,
Our daughter Eleanor is five today. I guess we are doing well, I have found a job and Elli is in kindergarten. Your mother thinks she is too young to be in school yet. But what was I supposed to do? We can't afford a babysitter or daycare and there are no preschools nearby. And I would never leave her with her Grandmother all day it would be a terrible thing to such a young child to have to sit through her lectures on life. But this isn't the reason I am writing this to you. Yesterday Elli found an old picture book about the ocean. She brought it to me while I was sitting on the couc

I thought I would atleast cry,
because you didn't even try...
I really believed I would forever wait,
but then again, you completely shut the gate...
I actually thought that whole time, maybe you cared,
when all you did was strip my feelings bare...
I gave you everything including my heart,
but a part of me always knew you'd go back to that tart...
I finally saw all your true colours,
I would have done anything for you,
Even if it was just under the covers...
I believed every word you said,
no that's not right...
You said you loved me and the only thing you felt for her was hate,
neither that nor this is right...

Im sorry to be ringing you so late
Im sorry to intrude on you at all
But Im sorry for the silences before
For all the times that I have failed to call...
