My apologies, I didn't realize that my fingertips were poisonous; that lies lingered on my breath.

I, who has danced around with open arms and genuine smiles for you;
The same one who will test your feasts for treachery,
And sing mysterious songs to destroy the masks of your betrayers

So why do you withdraw like embraces are toxic?
Am I so untrustworthy you must demand a second tasting?
Is my judgement so lax? My songs so boring?

Funny faces, silly hats with bells, colourful balls…the occasional miming, we all get down sometimes

Letter to a chicken

Dear Mabel,

It's been over five years since you died, but I've never stopped missing you. Did you know that Mabel means "beautiful one" or "lovable"? I guess we already knew how wonderful you were going to be. After you passed, I finished raising your babies for you. You'd be proud of Annabell. Your sister Isadora is still here, just as crabby as ever and over eight years old. She has a few biological chicks running around now, I hope they'll be a tad nicer than her.

A Perfectly Imperfect Human Being

I don't pretend to never have made a mistake, and neither should you, there are countless songs, paintings, and sculptures in this world, and yet none can truly be called perfect. True beauty is found in looking past imperfections.
I want to see the radiance in what you can do, and the humanity in what you can't. I want you to meet people, respect them, to clash with them, and most importantly love them. As a selfish person I want you to(just for me) endure a bit more than you thought you could handle, and enjoy life more than you ever thought possible.

Letter to my Babe Recently, I felt my heart breaking into so many pieces that I couldn't handle myself. It affected my entire life and I didn't know how I was going to get by. I'm not sure if my heart has mended yet, because I still feel so much pain. Honestly, I can't even begin to describe how it made me feel unless I start the second part of this prompt.

It's been a while since I saw you and, quite frankly, I don't care to see you again any time soon.

Hey, guys.

I just wanted to give you the heads-up about a neato project that *UrbanInsomniac is putting together - 'cause she needs your help!

From Lauren: "Send me funny quotes and I will write them up in nice lettering (turnaround time is unknown)

Example: You can't fight city hall, but you can drive by and egg it.

I have a project: writing quick funny quotes in fancy lettering on the back of index cards, waterproofing them and nailing them to telephone poles along my street (urban, busy, lots of pedestrians).

3 nights ago I posted 'A stitch in time would have confused Einstein' and yesterday someone posted back, on the same telephone pole a printed wiki article with bold letters at the top "Actually, he was okay with it.'"

It's like we're writing little letters to people all over her city! I don't know about you, but I love that idea. I'm off to submit one to her myself - a phrase I once embroidered on a wall hanging: "When life gives you lemons, find someone to throw them at." :*)

Are postcards okay or just letters? I love writing letters and sending postcards and I recently designed some postcards with quotes about letters on (not in my gallery yet). I was wondering if that was the sort of thing I could submit to the group?

Hey there. The group doesn't really have contributors, actually; any member can submit any letter and it will be approved to the gallery, so long as it is indeed a letter. Your membership is welcomed, though! I always love to see new letters coming in.

Withdrawn? Once I look over a letter (to make sure it's a letter) and accept it into the gallery, it stays there. I've never taken one out of the gallery.

If you mean that they expired, that could be a possibility if you submitted them between July 4 and August 6, as I was unexpectedly away for about a month during that time. Feel totally free to submit them again. If they're letters, they'll be accepted no problem.

Sorry about that!
